Players that have made any purchases on the site will have until September 19 to download their purchased titles, after that, it will no longer be accessible. On August 31 the company will officially shut down and cease all operations, and then on September 19 the website’s “My Page” function will go down as well. The shutdown notice mentioned a timeline in August leading up to its shutdown, including the end of its Illusion Online download sales, then on August 18 it will be shutting down its purchase and pre-order functions on its Illusion Online platform. The company did not state the reason for its shutdown. The studio was founded on April 21, 2001, meaning the studio was up and running for the last 22 years until its shutdown came later the next month. Japanese adult game development studio Illusion announced on its official Twitter and website, that the studio is going under and will be discontinuing development and the sale of all of its products on August 31, 2023.
